Built in 1896 as Beijing’s earliest railway station, also is the important railway hub in North China, FengTai Railway Station could not meet the upgrading requirements as time goes on and need be re-built into a modern comprehensive transportation hub.

Recently, China Railway Beijing Engineering Group announced that the bid for 166 elevators and escalators of new FengTai railway Station Reconstruction Project was awarded to Canny, this project’s key manufacturer and service provider of elevator and escalator.

New FengTai Railway Station, covering 125 hectares, is designed to have 12 platforms and 22 rail lines.The station building will cover 398,800 square meters, the largest in Asia. It is also the first of its kind in China to be designed as double-decker parking lot for high-speed and normal train. Along with other Beijing railway hubs, New FengTai Railway Station will optimize the capital's transportation system and get ready to “serve the construction of Xiong'an New District”.
